My Recent Adventure...

The Sunday just gone I boarded a train and went to visit my Nan who lives up in the Hunter area. It was a rainy, cold, and gloomy day here in Sydney as I waved goodbye to my Dad and brother and began my little adventure. It was only a short trip of about 3 days, but was still a lot of fun. I thought that I would share some photos with you guys of my trip so you can have a little taste of what I did and what I saw. Now, I'm making this sound so much more exciting than it actually was, so don't get your hopes up too high!

On the second day that I was there my Nan and I went and had lunch at a cute little place in the Hunter Valley Gardens, and the food was delicious! (If you want to see a pic of what I had for lunch, pop over to my instagram profile here, and don't forget to follow me while you're there!) I took some photos while I was there, as well as some in her garden, and of some treats we bought.

Now before I end up babbling on forever, here are the photos, and beware...there are quite a few! Enjoy :)

Much love!

Deep Down Detox Mud Mask | Review

When it comes to reading beauty blogs, one of my favourite things to read is a product review. I love to see what people think about products, and generally before buying something I almost always search for some reviews on it to see what other people thought. I thought that it was time that I did another product review for you all as I have only ever done one before, but it is quite a popular post. The product I’ll be reviewing today is the Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra-Cleansing Mud Mask Orange and Bergamot. I have mentioned this face mask in a few previous posts and I absolutely love it! On the front of it’s packaging it says,

This super-cleansing detox mask cleanses impurities for a clearer, brighter complexion. The energy of orange recharges, while sea salt cleanses and bergamot balances. Your face will notice the difference.

I completely agree with what it says! This has been my favourite face mask that I have used because it smells so amazing, it makes my skin feel good and look brighter, and it just makes me feel good. It isn’t a perfect miracle worker, but I do notice a difference after using it.

The packaging:
I have recently grown to love the colour orange, so I love the packaging of this product! I just think it’s so bright and refreshing but not too over-the-top. I love the font and the size of the words because it’s so eye-catching. I am just a big fan of this tube!

The scent:
When I first read the tube I was a bit unsure what I would think about it, because I don’t like orange that smells too artificial. I think this mask smells amazing! It does have a hint of artificial orange, but the mask just smells so fresh and energetic that it really doesn’t bother me. Because this scent is so fun and vibrant it really adds to the whole experience of using this face mask. Though if you don’t like orange I would avoid this mask and try one of their other face masks instead. (Which are in the following scents: strawberry & yarrow, peppermint & coconut, and sea kelp & calendula.)

The product:
The consistency of this mask is good because it is thick, but not too thick. However I wouldn’t really call it a mud mask. On the back of the tube it says to only apply a thin coat, and I do, and the mask sort of goes transparent when dry so it doesn’t exactly feel like a proper thick, brown, mud mask. You leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then I wash it off with warm/hot water and a face washer. I always find that it leaves my skin feeling so soft and looking so bright. I also like a face mask that you can really feel working, and I definitely feel this one working.

Thoughts overall:
Overall this is a wonderful product. It is my go-to face mask at the moment and one that I have recommended to a lot of people. I love everything from the packaging, to the scent, to how it makes my skin look and feel. I try to use it a few times a week for the best results.

You can buy it from Priceline for $8.99 for 100mL.

Much love! <3

My Beauty Corner

Lately I've been feeling a little uninspired, which is why I haven't really posted anything in a while. I have literally been racking my brain for weeks trying to think of something to post, and I finally thought of something! I thought I would show you guys my beauty corner where I keep all my makeup and perfumes and whatnot. Some of you may be interested in seeing how I store my things, as well as what other products I use but don't often talk about.

I have taken some photos of my little corner, so I do hope you like them and find it a little interesting to see just how I organise my stuff and what products I have on my shelf. It's not super super neat and tidy, but it is organised just how I like it. I hope you enjoy this post, let me know if you do, and perhaps one day I'll work towards doing a room tour for you guys if these sorts of things interest you. If any products or anything grab your attention and you'd like to know more about it, let me know in the comments below. Hope you're all having a wonderful day, and expect a product review coming within the next few days.

Much love!

Welcome to the YouTube Journey

Hello hello,

At the end of my April Favourites blog post (you can see it here) I said that for my May Favourites I would try to make a YouTube video instead of just the written post. And I did! It took me a whole day to plan, film, edit, and upload the video but it is finally live on YouTube. My channel is called samindigo13 and my first ever video is now up there (you can see it here). YouTube has so kindly selected a shocking thumbnail for the video, but oh well. I'm still learning about all this stuff, so please be kind.

I just thought I would share it on here as well so that you can all go and see what I've been loving through May, and feel free to leave any comments, particularly advice if you have any!

Another blog post of mine is in the works and should be up sometime within the next week. I'm excited to embark on this new YouTube adventure, and I hope to meet some really lovely people and make loads of new friends along the way!

Much love xxx
